Helbling Attending National Business Officers Association 2017 Conference

Independent School Campus

Joe Wargo and Wendy Zang, search consultants with Helbling & Associates, are looking forward to attending and exhibiting at the National Business Officers Association's (NBOA) 2017 Annual Conference on February 26 - March 1, 2017 in Washington, DC. NBOA is a member organization of business officers and other leaders of independent schools from across the country. Its annual conference is the organization's largest event, which entails three days of extensive professional development and networking opportunities.

The theme of this year's meeting is Building Monumental Change, emphasizing the fact that independent schools are going through a transformative time. They face many challenges and opportunities as they strive to adapt to student and family demands, technological innovation, and strong competition from peer schools.

This year's impressive speakers include Sir Ken Robinson, a renowned author, speaker, and consultant. Robinson works with education systems, governments, international agencies, global corporations, and leading cultural organizations to enhance the creativity and innovation of their people. Also presenting is Susan Cain, co-founder of Quiet Revolution, the Quiet Schools Network, and the Quiet Leadership Institute. Cain authored "Quiet Power: The Secret Strengths of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking," and "Quiet: The Power of Introverts."

Other reputable presenters will provide their insight and expertise on a number of critical issues facing independent schools such as enterprise risk management, sustainable innovation, facilitating a secure campus, and realizing a master plan.

If you're involved in the independent school sector, the NBOA conference certainly provides an opportunity to learn about strategies and solutions that can strengthen your school and expand your knowledge.

Helbling has represented numerous independent schools throughout the country in securing facilities management executives, prompting our interest in NBOA's conference so that we can continue to further our understanding of the challenges and trends that are being presented to independent schools and how some institutions are setting the pace for the future.

While Joe and Wendy are attending the entire conference, they will also be at Exhibitor Booth #96 on Monday. Stop by and introduce yourself! We look forward to meeting you!
